The Akron Alumnae Association has a rich history rooted in Lambda Chapter at The University of Akron. For generations, Kappas in the Akron area have come together to celebrate our traditions, support one another, and give back to our community. Today, our focus is on building a strong foundation for the future while honoring the history that brought us here. We are committed to preserving Lambda's history, strengthening our alumnae association, supporting Kappa's presence at The University of Akron, and creating meaningful opportunities for alumnae to be involved. Our mission is to create an association that is welcoming, active, and meaningful for Kappas throughout the Akron area. We want to provide opportunities to connect through events, service, philanthropy, and shared traditions while encouraging alumnae to bring their own talents, experiences, and ideas to the organization. We are also passionate about preserving the places and memories that tell the story of Kappa in Akron. From the history of Lambda Chapter to the legacy of our properties on Spicer Street, these pieces of our past are an important part of who we are and deserve to be protected for future generations. As we look ahead, we invite our alumnae to be part of that future. The Akron Alumnae Association belongs to all of us, and its future depends on the women who choose to be part of it. Our goal is not simply to remember where we've been, but to build something worth passing on to the Kappas who come after us.
